Compensation & Schedule

💰 Pay Rate: $70/hr
🏨 Per Diem: Local Candidates Preferred (Per Diem May Be Considered for Non-Local Candidates)
🎯 Completion Bonus: $150/month
💵 Pay Frequency: Weekly
⏰ Schedule: Monday-Friday | First Shift | 40-50 Hours Per Week

What You'll Be Doing

• Provide daily field safety oversight for mechanical construction activities
• Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments
• Monitor rigging operations, material handling activities, and pipe fitting work
• Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, Merck standards, and project-specific safety requirements
• Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions
• Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel
• Coordinate safety activities with project management, supervision, and subcontractors
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation
• Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports
• Serve as the primary safety representative for M Davis onsite
• Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project
